Image Resource Block items are tagged with a name. The names are human readable for informative purposes.

Sometimes the names are used as tags to allow one resource to reference another. For example resource IDs 2000 to 2997 contain saved paths, each of which may have a resource name. The name of the current clipping path is held in resource ID 2999 and can be used to identify the precise path in question.

However in general these names are more for informative purposes and are usually either absent or not terribly useful for programatic use.
